Wow, what an amazing stay hosted by the most thoughtful host’s. This places had EVERYTHING imaginable and more! The best kitchen we’ve experienced by far from an Airbnb, the most family friendly and had everything needed for a day at the beach. We really didn’t need to pack anything other than our clothes! They had toys for the kids, extra car seats and booster seats, beach tents and chairs, buckets for sand castles , fishing rods , a baby carrier , a waffle maker , a blender , family games coloring books and even a drawer stocked with batteries. By far the best Airbnb stay we’ve had thus far. We will definitely be back!!

Our group of 8 adults and 4 kids spent 3 nights at The Salty Ace and thoroughly enjoyed it. Despite a rainy weekend and spending more time indoors than planned, we never felt cramped or bored. The house is clean, spacious and well-stocked. There are multiple tv's, a comfortable screened-in porch at the back and a swing on the front porch. In addition, our group had 3 cars which easily fit in the driveway. Christina and Dennis clearly put a lot of thought into the layout and amenities to ensure that visitors feel comfortable and at home. They were flexible, responsive and willing to provide recommendations for restaurants and activities in the area. I give The Salty Ace 5 STARS and would definitely visit again!

We had such an amazing stay here! The house was super clean and spacious—4 bedrooms and 3.5 baths gave our whole family plenty of room to spread out without ever feeling cramped. The golf cart was brand new with Apple CarPlay, Google Maps, a touch screen, and music—perfect for cruising around with the kids and made getting to the beach so fun and easy. The hosts went above and beyond with thoughtful touches. There were welcoming gifts waiting for us, including a bottle of wine for mom to enjoy once the kids were asleep. They even stocked the house with all the essentials to get started—dishwasher pods, dish soap, laundry supplies, etc.—which made things super convenient. Even on rainy days there was plenty to do. My little girl loved all the toys and carried the little baby doll around the whole trip—it truly felt like home away from home. The fully stocked kitchen, grill, outdoor shower, and stair cover for peace of mind with the kids made everything stress-free.

Such an amazing place with a fantastic host. Truly a wonderful place to stay. This house had everything you could need for a young family. Our packing list was just our clothes because everything else was provided from high chairs to beach gear, towels and children’s step stools, baby bouncers and children’s toys, so much attention to detail. And having the golf cart was the gateway to the city. This was our first trip to Oak Island and it won’t be our last. We can’t way to come back to the Salty Ace next year!

We had such a wonderful stay on Oak Island! The host was extremely communicative and made everything seamless from start to finish. The house was beautifully decorated and perfectly equipped—it had everything we needed and more, including beach towels, beach toys, and chairs. The golf cart was such a fun addition and made getting around a breeze. The home easily accommodated our group, and being dog friendly made it even better for our family. We had the most wonderful stay at The Salty Ace on Oak Island! From the moment we arrived, it was clear that the hosts had thought of everything to make our visit as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. The house is brand new, spotless, and beautifully designed — modern yet cozy, with every amenity you could hope for. They truly went above and beyond: a golf cart for exploring, beach chairs, umbrellas, kids’ surfboards, even an outdoor shower to rinse off the sand after long days at the beach. Inside, the home was stocked with books, toys, and games that kept our kids happy and entertained — and the front porch swing quickly became their favorite spot to unwind. A special thank you for the bottle of wine waiting for us upon arrival — such a thoughtful touch — and the adorable soaps in each shower, which made the house feel extra luxurious. We felt completely at home here and can’t thank the hosts enough for creating such a welcoming, family-friendly space. Every little detail has been so thoughtfully considered, and it made our trip so relaxing and memorable. We didn’t want to leave, and we’re already dreaming about coming back.
